Player of the Week - Kevin Miller, Collingswood
Saturday, April 30, 2005
Grade: Junior
Events: Defensive specialist
Height: 5-7
Accomplishments: Miller has been a three-year member of the Collingswood program. He turned in another solid performance for the Panthers as they stayed unbeaten in the Olympic Conference National Division with a 2-0 win over Sterling. In that match, Miller had 12 digs and eight kills. For the season, he is averaging a little over eight digs a match. This season he has 65 service points and 69 kills.
Comments: "He has been solid for us," coach Joe Gillespie said. "He is the best passer I have ever seen. Not only is he a leader on the court but he plays the whole court. You just don't find many kids that play today that can do that in every match." Miller: "I look upon myself to be the leader on this team and think of it as my responsibility. Right now our goal is to win our division and also get into the state tournament."
