Player of the Week - Natalie Powell, Williamstown

Saturday, November 13, 2004

Grade: Senior

Position: Middle hitter

Accomplishments: Powell had three blocks and 12 digs for the Braves in Tuesday's 2-1 (25-23, 20-25, 26-24) Group 3 state quarterfinal match win over Demarest. On Nov. 5, Powell had five digs in Williamstown's 2-0 (25-18,25-16) tournament win over Ramapo.

Comments: "Natalie is probably the most competitive athlete that I have coached. She hates losing," Williamstown coach Chris Sheppard said. "Natalie has been great all season. She has tremendous speed and is probably our best passer." Said Powell: "Our team is very strong. We're focused on playing hard and trying to win. Playing well in the tournament was one of our goals."
