Monday The Camden Riversharks dropped their final home game of the regular season with a 7-6 loss to the Long Island Ducks on Sunday.
Wednesday Camden starters Lincoln Mikkelsen and Kevin Dougherty combined to toss 13 scoreless innings Tuesday night, and the Camden Riversharks eliminated the Somerset Patriots from postseason contention with a doubleheader sweep Tuesday night before 4,235 fans at Commerce Bank Ballpark.
Wednesday Lincoln Mikkelsen woke up Tuesday morning feeling like death. He was fairly sure he wouldn't be able to make his scheduled start - and it was a big one, Game One of the Atlantic League semifinals against Bridgeport.
Thursday The Camden Riversharks fell to the Bridgeport Bluefish 8-1 on Wednesday. Both teams are now tied in their best-of-three Atlantic League playoff series. The deciding game will be played tonight at 6:35 at Bridgeport.
Friday In a week that started with such hope, the Riversharks came crashing back down to earth and their season was over.
Thursday sharks, whose 71-54 overall record was the Atlantic League's best, have won three of the league's four major postseason awards.
