Milton Milan's prison sentence is too lenient, according to the majority of people who responded Friday to an unscientific poll conducted on the Courier-Post's Web site.
The former Camden mayor was sentenced to seven years and three months in federal prison Friday for his conviction on 14 counts of federal corruption and fraud.
But 66 percent of those who responded to the poll as of 9 p.m. Friday said the sentence was too light. Sixteen percent said Milan was given too much prison time; 18 percent said the punishment was fair.
A total of 127 people responded to the poll.
