The poet
William Shakespeare was born April 23, 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. He was a playwright, actor, poet, and perhaps the greatest writer of all time. He is the most read writer in the history of the English language. The only written work read more is the Bible. Shakespeare died on April 23, 1616, at the age of 52.
