During World War II, my father helped camouflage this battleship, along with its two sister ships. He was also there when it was christened.

I'm sure if he were alive today, he, too, would voice his opinion. If his health allowed him to again see this battleship, he probably would try to be the first in line.

The battleship USS New Jersey belongs in our area. Bring her home.
